As such it's got 11 "sub-effects", all of which can be individually disabled and some rearrange-able to suit your needs. Some of the more specific ones are good, but a lot are way too much.It's basically a "vocal processor in a box" style plug-in. (Probably bass and other monophonic instruments to start.) It has a lot of genre focused presets, of which, the generic styles are pretty much greatness.
EQ (Fully Parametric 5-Band, each band switchable as Bell, Low or High Shelf, LP, HP, and Steep LP or HP) Saturation (Amount & Mix controls, with models for Analog, Retro, Tape, Tube & Warm) Noise Gate (Thresh, Ratio, RMS, Attack, Release, Gain, & Auto Gain) Breath Control (It actually senses breath noises, and it works well) Pitch (including auto, manual, and T-Pain-esque capabilities)
Delay (Digital, Tape & Analog, Host Tempo Sync, Modulation, and a bunch of other stuff)The only modules I haven't used so far are the Doubler and Delay. (I switched when ProTools HD came out, because the HD hardware was outrageously expensive, and Logic included way more plug-ins and features.) I've got a little over 8.5 years of legit studio experience in more styles than I can remember. I've used Logic Pro since v.7, and Pro-Tools LE & TDM before that. I'm not anybody famous, but I've done a ton of production (library) music, several independent artists, a few major label releases of people you've probably never heard of, and a lot of audio post for video. I prefer to experiment and use different plug-ins to replicate a good hardware chain. I am not really a fan of "do-it-all" type plug-ins.
(And I just learned today that you can edit a preset to include commonly adjusted parameters from the advanced view in the standard view, with custom labels and controls. Because it can be controlled from the Standard View or the Advanced View, beginners can use it, and experts can do some fairly advanced stuff. Great sounds and I think they nailed some of the genre-specific and historical type presets.

It is a fast, flexible, and good sounding plug-in. I'm recommending it to anyone that has to mix a lot of vocals. It's on sale right now for $199, normally $299.Tl dr - For the past 10 days I've been demo-ing Nectar, and it's awesome, so I bought it.
